It's very important to me that all customers and clients feel comfortable and supported, especially when navigating something as significant as buying a home. Regarding the fees, I completely understand that the cost of services is an important consideration. The rates my firm charges are set to ensure that all clients receive the best possible support and expertise. I am truly sorry that I wasn't able to fully express my value as a full-time professional buyer's agent that met your expectations. I also want to acknowledge that you were already under a buyer's agent agreement with another Realtor in Vermont (the scope of that agreement actually covered the entire state); I informed you that if you wished to engage me as your buyer representative for this property, the prior agreement would need to be terminated. You did request buyer representation from me, and therefore a buyer-agent agreement would have to be agreed upon prior to showing you this particular property (per existing VT real estate regulations). Your understanding of the purpose of a buyer agent agreement was implied when you signed the agreement with the first realtor. I feel that I explained my proposed agreement to you with clearly outlined terms and expectations; my proposed agreement was also specific to the single property you wanted to see and did not cover towns, counties or the entire state of VT. Please know that I am always here to discuss any part of the process. Openness and honest communication are core values in my practice, and I always aim to address any concerns with full transparency.
