As my client Mary noted, when she had to buy, Denver's market was very vigorous. The nice homes were snatched up within hours of being on the market and she knew this one was a great fit for her. There was no negotiation on the price as offering at less than the asking price would have been foolish and let other potential buyers get in on the home, and could have resulted in a bidding war, escalating the price of the home. The asking price was fair and Mary agreed to pay it. I did negotiate for her at inspection a brand new furnace and air conditioner that cost the seller several thousand dollars. Considering that the purchase was long distance (I showed many homes to her son and her best friend and Face-timed with Mary) and she couldn't come to town to see it, I think she was very fortunate to get a great home at a good price in a crazy market.
