This post was from Kate Durkin of Prudential Retirement. She wanted to see a 43k home I have listed. My response was "I would love to show you the property but first, lets get you pre-approved. Can I have a local lender call you or do you already have one?" All of my sellers want pre-approved buyers so we are not wasting time. Kate Durkin's exact response "I have a wake and funeral in NY the next two days. I can't deal with getting pre-approved. If you don't want to show it to me, fine." Kate Durkin was treated politely and with respect but would not follow the procedure that sellers hire me for. In 3 decades of customer service, I know true buyers follow a certain pattern. Refusing to take the proper steps to home ownership does not fit the pattern. The full email thread is available for review.
