Hi Brock and Gina. I understand your frustrations that you are (still) feeling over how things transpired with this property. It’s very unfortunate you felt the need to post this negative review on my page. I hope you both had a nice stop in the Poconos and beyond looking at homes on your way to England. For anyone looking for a backstory, the Bensons contacted me via email and asked to check out the property and, yes, they did inform me they were looking to make a stop out this way to view multiple homes in the Poconos, with the listing agent of each home. I asked them for a pre approval or proof of funds and they promptly provided them for me, which I really appreciated. I had never met them before and knew nothing about them, so making sure they were legit buyers was needed to protect both myself and my clients home. Our last communication was around midnight (9pm their time) and told them to let me know when they would be arriving from Philly so we could meet up. At the time of our communication we had not received an offer on the property so I wasn’t hiding anything. On the evening of December 3rd I received an offer from another agents’ buyer and said they needed an answer by that evening or they would be pursuing other options. My clients needed to make a decision and decided to accept that offer. My clients signed the offer and I emailed the Bensons ASAP to let them know what happened. I’m sure it was very upsetting to see that the property was no longer on the market at the time of their arrival, but my loyalty is to my seller clients and what is in their best interest. Real estate deals can happen in an instant or take weeks or months to bring about offers and acceptances of offers. Again, Gina and Brock, I hope your home search was productive and I hope you both have a nice holiday season. Enjoy your move overseas for your new job!
