Property managed a home I rent.Local knowledgeProcess expertiseResponsivenessNegotiation skillsVery unpleasant experience dealing with Lisa. My apartment kitchen was pretty gross and filled with the last tenants dishes and Tupperware yet when I told them about it I was still charged 50 dollars for it from my security deposit and another 50 for...Response from Lisa Perin on 12/16/2022
A bad review from a disgruntled former tenant is par for the course of any landlord, even good ones. Time for some fact checking. David, thanks for using your real name so that whenever someone googles you, this review, AND my response will appear for everyone to see, including future landlords who should beware. Mr. Pfeifer rented a home through Parkhill for a year before downsizing and moving into this apartment, ALSO managed by Parkhill. His experience with Parkhill, me, and my staff couldn't have been so bad if he chose to stay on with us. Did he forget to mention that? Parkhill Realty has been incorporated since 1/1/1986, and BBB has no record of complaints against us, which anyone can see on their website by searching our company name. He received a clean, code inspected apartment. He left an apartment with a filthy refrigerator and tub, floors not even vacuumed. He was charged for filth, not 'for a few pieces of Tupperware in a cabinet'. Also, his parking permit came with a parking contract when he moved in, which stated the parking rules, and that the permit needed to be turned in upon moving to prevent them from being passed to other people (and please note that the permits do NOT say non transferable on them anywhere). He was constantly parking in an unauthorized area, blocking the way of the handicap spot (who does that?!) and maintenance and contractors. After being told not to park there more times than I can count, his lease was NOT renewed. Imagine a tenant so entitled and rude, that the landlord would rather eat some vacancy loss than keep them, and you're starting to get the idea. His girlfriend was not an occupant and did not have a permit for this lot, so she should not have been parked anywhere in the lot, but most especially in the unauthorized parking area blocking the handicap access! Thanks for admitting you weren't following the parking rules! Mr. Pfeifer came in to our office to talk about his security deposit and was incorrect in the amount he paid up front. When my agent tried to tell him the amount he actually paid and show him his ledger, he called her a B**ch and started cursing at her and he had to be asked to leave. Even upon me sending him copies of his payments/checks etc. as proof of what he paid, there was silence, whereas an apology would have been the correct response. The tenant with the ESA? Thats the one you falsely accused of damaging your truck (while it was parked illegally, again) and she couldn't stand you. Every tenant in his building cheered when he moved because they no longer had to deal with his sense of entitlement in the parking lot, and every member of my staff, cheered when he moved because of his constant verbal abuse to even my nicest employees. My maintenance person? He's been with us for more than 15 years so apparently he's happy right where he is at. Thankfully, the rest of the people in that building are all kind and mindful of others around them.
