Most inspectors have contracts which limit their liability and establish arbitration as a means of settling disputes. This is a typical business practice. I doubt the customer would find an inspector who doesn't limit his or her liability. Our contracts are emailed out prior to the inspection to provide the customer an opportunity to review the information. Since this review does not provide customer name or property address, we can't respond to information about the inspection itself.
