Dear Devin: Thank you very much for your input and thank you Zillow for the opportunity to respond. First, let me assure you that I certainly understand your disappointment and frustration and I thought you'd make excellent tenants. To be clear, RE/MAX does not set the rental policy for this property. The owner, my client does. I am an agent who works at the pleasure of his client and this client has firm requirements for renters. In our discussion it was clear, that with this client, your application would not be accepted due to the strict rent-to-income ratio minimum THEY require. I was trying to save us both much, time, effort and travel. So I truly regret that this did not work out for you.
