We found a buyer for Mr. Williams' house within 30 days. We had his assurance through his prior due diligence that the parcel could be divided as needed with the county to sell the house. When it came time to close, the county did not allow the parcel to be split. We had relied upon the buyer's word, and the county had revised their guidelines. Regardless, we offered to assist the buyer in dealing with the county to rectify the situation, but he was assessing blame and not open to our involvement. We regret the outcome, but we had been more than willing to assist with all outstanding issues in order to close the transaction.
