Cheryl was responsive. She immediately stated she only does phone calls to set up tours which is fine. I gave her a call, immediately she seems annoyed by my inquiry. I called about a 3 bd 1 bth house and requested to tour is and her response was a l...

Cheryl is on time and responsive about her tours and offers, and has generally on-market requirements for an applicant, however she is remarkably rude, racist, and difficult to work with. She showed us her property and made sure to comment about our ...

I have no recall of any of this conversation or these people who have taken their precious time to post a false accusation about a landlord who and offered noting more that liable on this posting. Additionally, it is a landlord's right to not take a "trust fund"or a "guarantor" in the application process if the landlord does not want to consider that income or third party guarantee. Not using a "trust fund" or "guarantor" is not illegal in any way. Being the recipient of a "trust fund" or having a "guarantor" is not a "protected class" and can be used as a criteria for offering credit or not offering credit and in this case, housing. On Zillow Platform, it is allowable to post false information and statements about someone without proof or repercussions to the posting party. It is illegal to post false accusations like "racist" on any platform. That constitutes liable which can be taken to a court of law and prosecuted as discrimination and defamation. Defamation cases, if proven can result in no monetary limits of compensation to the prevailing party who has been wronged by the false accusation. I do hope these parties have a very good attorney.

This paticular party has gone to Dallas Fair Housing Department for a complaint on this false accusation. The Fair Housing Department contacted me and asked me for evidence of this occurance. The Fair Housing Department dropped this case as there was not proof of this false accusation. I have never met these folks, or their dog. I rent to dogs all the time and this is noting more than these folks making a false statement about a landlord which is liable and defamation. Should this be prosecuted in court, the landlord would win this case as there is absolutely. no proof of this fabricated event.
