First off, IF you express a desire for a shift on my side, whether it be around auto-correct typos in a text or speaking at a later time about details that are needed to address unreported repairs/ damages from a party promptly or whatever, I’m open to feedback and adjusting course unless delaying a conversation will lead to additional damages that you want me to pay for out of pocket. What this person unreasonably expected was for me to not charge any late fees for rent after being habitually late for 12 months. He ignored basic lease responsibilities like paying rent on the 1st monthly I do understand why he didn't want to not repeat myself about unpaid rent that was 60 plus dates late for 8 months months straight, but that is literally my job, nothing personal. and issues like disconnecting fire alarms for parties with a smoke machine repeatedly should be addressed, as needed. Reasonable expectations should be include knowledge of the lease agreement details signed up for and this person wanting not reading the lease to be a good reason to not follow the lease in 30 ways over and over. I follow Colorado law and I am committed to NO drama. Good relations means a good quality of life for all and it's a WIN-WIN for myself and the renters that I've rented to since 1996. I go above and beyond what BPM and other management companies offer and as a private owner, yes, you tend to save money when it comes to repairs and more via a private owner but please don't do like this guy and show up at my house at 8am with a partial payment and demand I waive all late fees in a threatening manner. We all have our faults, and I’ll admit that one of mine is voice-texting with my southern accent and not always using a robot voice. Where it matters most, I’m fair and reasonable. I did let go of 1 handyman who was not as good as I asked him to be @ notice to the tenants but i give 24 hours and 20 mins same day, if a time window is given by a professional to me. I go to extreme lengths to honor the privacy of all renters with proper notice. It's your home when you are in it and I like it to feel that way. Text me for video links to see the place. You are paying for the location, in the rent, for sure and the property was fully remodeled and is in excellent / almost new condition. 1 bad review in 25 years from a kid who wanted me to pay out of pocket for his mess. It could be worse than this, his idea of revenge since he was convinced the mess he left should have been cleaned up in half the time and his version of cleaning the scuff marks on the doors was using paper towels so yes, he was upset areas he addresses needed to be cleaned again. My cleaners are professional and efficient and not personal friends, and his beliefs being said don't make that true,. One last comment, expect your house to be detail cleaned. Whether it's my response here or attention to details when what cleaners missed, thorough isn't all bad.
