I take pride in my work ethic. Prior to a showing, I discuss terms and address questions/concerns. Today, I received a viewing request. From the start, I expressed that I was working w/a family but if it fell through, that I would reach out. When asked who and how many people this home was for, she stated, "One." Given that this is a 5 bedroom, this seemed very odd. She then claimed to be related to a celebrity. Perhaps this has helped her in the past, but I view all people as being equal, irrespective of who they are or not related to. In reply to her "not for her to understand" claim, it is not only my duty but my right to know. To her "good credit/afford"claim, finances are only 1 of many factors. Perhaps a personable tenant-landlord relationship is not a priority to her, but it is to me. In closing, I am aware that my philosophy may not be agreeable to all, but it is this very philosophy that has been the impetus behind my strong landlord-tenant relationships.
