Bought a Single Family home in 2025 in Cooper park, Bozeman, MT.Local knowledgeProcess expertiseResponsivenessNegotiation skillsUnfortunately, Tanya was not the agent we would have hoped for. We were randomly assigned Tanya through Zillow after requesting a showing. We used her to view a second home, which we ended up buying, but there was a ton of misalignment throughout the...Response from Tawnya Storm on 4/21/2025
I will respond to this retaliatory review with facts and truths about this transaction. 1. Ironically, the clients who wrote this very negative review about me also wrote me a very nice "thank you" card and bought me a thoughtful gift after we closed on this property together. They never would have done that if any of their claims above had any validity attached to them. 2.. The reason for this retaliatory review is because a few days after we closed on this property, these clients claimed that the hot water heater was only keeping water hot for 15 minutes. If this was indeed true, I understand their frustration and how aggravating this must have felt for them. Because I run my business with the utmost integrity and try very hard to always do the right thing, I agreed to give them $500 to help with a new hot water heater, even though this happened days after closing and after the home inspector said the hot water worked well (as did the sellers). 3. During this entire transaction, I 100% had Rory and Emily's best interests at heart. I spent a lot of time happily negotiating everything that they wanted and succeeded in getting them exactly what they wanted. I earned them tens of thousands of dollars off the asking price of the property, which is not easy to achieve on a downtown Bozeman property. I negotiated a very good deal for them regarding the sellers "rent" back amount to be paid to Rory and Emily for the sellers renting back the home for a few days after closing. I negotiated price and repairs of the issues revealed in the home inspection/due diligence process saving them yet more time and money. 4. I feel 100% good about the tens of thousands of dollars I saved Rory and Emily during this process. I feel 100% good about helping them obtain this particular property, as they explained to me when we first met that they wanted a property with additional income potential (an apartment above the garage they could rent out, which this home has), or the ability to build an additional dwelling unit to rent out for additional income. The truth and facts are that I assisted Rory and Emily in getting a good deal on a home with additional income potential in a terrific, highly sought after neighborhood for a good price. They are simply upset about the hot water heater and expected me to buy them a brand new one (that would be "to their standards") even though the hot water heater was working fine at the time of closing. They bought an old home that had not been remodeled or renovated and claimed to understand that buying an old home would come with some additional expenses eventually. Again, all was smooth and well until after closing when they claimed the hot water heater wasn't working "to their standards". Rory, please refer to the buy sell agreement, the original price of the property, and your settlement statement to alleviate any further confusion, and to help you understand that given all of these facts, I 100% demonstrated competence and commitment to you and Emily throughout this entire process. Readers, please don't hesitate to read all 43 of my other 5 star reviews and recommendations for further clarity on the kind of person and realtor I am. Thank you.
