I'm very sorry that you weren't selected by the seller among the many offers on the home. I investigated this matter after our conversation and it was revealed from the seller that they did not want to take a deal that was contingent on the sale of your home. Too risky. Many roadblocks can arise. Although Vince thought you were very nice people and was truly plugging for you, in the end it is completely the seller's decision. They said NO contingencies whatsoever ! I also revealed through my investigation that the sellers did not make a decision on Sunday. It was made a few days later shortly before we spoke.They were very confused and needed time because there were many noncontingent ( nothing to sell ) offers much , much higher than yours. It actually turned into a bidding war. If you really stop and think about it, if my agent Vince really cared about money and not the best interest of his sellers he would have strongarmed his sellers into taking your offer. Why ? Because he would have ended up with two deals -- not one. Your purchase of Carlton and the sale of your home. He didn't waste your time because when you brought a relative in on Sunday to check out the home , you were still a contender for the home. Once again I am very sorry that you didn't end up with the home. If I can politely share some advice without offending you. Put your home up for sale, get it into contract and then aggressively search for a home. Although you will still be a contingency, you will be a much stronger contingency having your home in contract. Lastly I can't refrain from saying that I find it hard to believe that Vince was rude. Maybe stressed from all the offers and interest but not rude. He is a kind man, a gentleman , family man, grandfather and a long time well respected real estate professional. He's actually a Staten Island Board of Realtors Director - unanimously voted in year after year. And I am proud of him and all my agents . Not only is Vince one of our agents , he is my wife and my friend. A big Teddy Bear that is involved in many Charities. You mentioned above that Vince reached out and said he was sorry. A class act. He felt bad. Many buyers didn't get the home. Hurt feelings. It happens all the time. I do take offense to the fact that you called all my hardworking agents rude and inconsiderate. You never met them. We have over 100 beautiful people at Tom Crimmins Realty and I love each and everyone of them. There are times that I have to retrain and reprimand being the very hands on Broker that I am. But not in this case. Vince handled it professionally with the seller's interest in mind. Not his or the buyer's. For the record we are one of the top agencies on Staten Island in sales and we have a great reputation with over 840 5 Star Google reviews. This is through much hard work and dedication by myself, my wife and our agents. We are proud of this. Once again, sorry you didn't end up with the home.
