Around 1990, my father and I started bass fishing at Lake Fork whenever we had the chance. As a college student in 1996, I fished and won the Sealy McDonalds Big Bass Splash Tournament at Lake Fork. In 1998, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in wildlife and fisheries management and started a career as a professional wildlife biologist. While I loved the work, I really wanted to relocate permanently to the Lake Fork area....
