Third generation investment property owner and property manager. Purchased my first investment property in Missoula in 1996 and successfully self managed ever since. In 1996 I took up property management as my full time career. In 2012 I launched our own company, Rent Smart Missoula LLC.

    I am about to put my property on the rental market and was looking for a company to manage for me but any company that would hire Mary Hurd as an agent is definitely not a company I would go with. I don't want an agent that rudely nags at my tenants...

    To be perfectly honest, I cannot connect this review with any investment property owner that I have interviewed with. I am having a hard time making sense of this for a variety of reasons. Mainly, from an investment property owner’s stance, the statements just don’t add up. I think this review was actually posted by tenants that I recently evicted. If I have made a mistake, and this is a real client, that I interviewed with, I’m sorry that we were not a good fit. I am a property management professional and have a fiduciary obligation to protect my clients’ best interest. If we do not have the same philosophies, that is understandable. However, if you are looking for a property manager who will manage your property like it is our own, enforce the lease agreement, enforce prompt payment of rent and hold tenants accountable, while still treating them with respect, please give us a call.
