    There are two sides to every story. When Mr. Assaf was buying a bank foreclosure in an “As Is” condition I asked him if he wanted a septic inspection within the time limits set by the bank for investigations, he said to me “don’t worry about that right now.” Apparently Mr. Assaf believed he had bargaining power with the bank up to the close of escrow. In reality he had none after 10 days, of which I reminded him. Two days before the close he informed me that he wanted the inspection. I never told him I would repair/replace his septic system, only pay for the inspection as a courtesy which I did. Unfortunately the system needed to be replaced and in his mind I said I would repair/replace the septic system. He now wants me to pay over half my commission to replace his septic tank. I think he assumes because I paid for other repairs throughout the transaction I would pay for this.
