I represented the seller and not the buyers on this transacton. It was sold to a lovely older 55+ single woman, Not a growing Family as stated. To clarify it is always the buyers responsibilty to do their due dilligence on the purchase of the home to conduct a home inspection prior to signing the contracts. This was the cheapest house in the neigborhood with multiple offers on it. I tireslessly was on the phone for weeks around the clock making sure I used the right mortgage company to get the house for her at the lowest price possible so that she would have future equity in the home. We had a home inpsection prior to the contract signing stating and documenting all the problems with the house. She and her attorney were sent everything. The buyer still wanted to go through with the transaction regardless and at all costs. The buyer told me this was her dream home and the first time in her life she would ever have her very own first home in a good neighborhood on long Island.
