Andrea, I'm sincerely sorry for your experience. However i must recap from my perspective: First, you were almost an hour late to the appointment without a message letting me know. I was on my way home when you finally let me know you were at the house. I came back to the home so you did not waste your trip, and I had to postpone my next appointment. I did get back to you via email, because I had real problems with my internet phone and the satellite at my home.I did let you know in person, that your 3% down might be a problem. And as it turned out to be, with higher offers and up to 20% down on a mortgage got the house. As a matter of fact the selling agent let me know immediately that it was a non starter in this market, although I did mention again about the 3% down and you told me, "that's what I'm comfortable with". I presented the offer knowing that it would be rejected. "How much is the other offer?" I answered that I do not know because the listing agent doesn't divulge that. "Yes your offer with 3 percent down had been turned down." I did not answer about the roof, because it was immaterial at that point. Andrea that is the last correspondence. I fail to see how you can describe my language as offensive and how was I dishonest? Dishonest about what? I was straight forward and as honest. Furthermore, damaging my reputation over a sensitivity to my email language is absurd. I will explain something to you and everyone else who reads this. As real estate agents we drive thousands of miles, use up untold amounts of gas and money, mostly for naught. In fact, if I had to add up all the money and time spent, I'd be surprised if I earned minimum wage when all is said and done on some listings. I have always been honest in my dealing with clients. Please I implore you next time you call an agent about a property, be a little more understanding about who we are and what we do. No need to write missives like the one above. With regret, Les
