Hello, we have never worked together or met before. I understand you do not wish to receive postcards about houses for sale near you. Please note I do NOT have your name on a specific mailing list I have control over. You may be referring to a postcard delivered via Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM.) You’ll notice your postcard says it is addressed to “Postal Customer” not your personal name. This is because USPS delivers this item to every stop on the given route (hence the name of their service being, “Every Door.”) When you contacted me over an year ago, I did explain this and explained I would ask USPS not to deliver to you. However, I cannot personally guarantee that so, for additional measure, I recommended you ask USPS not to deliver EDDM’s to your house, as well. EDDM is a common way for businesses to distribute a message and if it does not pertain to you, please toss it into the trash or recycle alongside the other items of EDDM mail pieces you receive from other companies. On a side note, though I have never met your wife either, I understand she has worked in the real estate industry in the past, as well, and therefore likely understands how USPS’s EDDM program is designed and also how innocent and well-meaning Coming Soon real estate postcards are. We agents are all simply aiming to serve our respective clients the best we can and, in doing so, will continue mailing postcards advertising our clients’ houses when they ask us to, and recipients can toss/recycle them if they are not relevant to them.
