She demaned a rental history. I explained to her that I have owned for more than 30 years and hadn't rented for over 30 years. Leanne, I am very surprised about your review. I found you to be a lovely tenant. You always paid your rent, (only needed a few reminders every 3 months). As a property manager it is my job to check history, references and credit for your application. I'm sorry you felt I was "suspicious". It was an unusual request to have new tenants take over your lease, it is not my normal practice or policy. But, you bought a new house and didn't want to pay rent and a mortgage, so I agreed to let you out of the lease early, and with no penalty. As far as the new tenants you "found for me", you did that for your benefit not mine. And to be clear, they have to go through the same application process as you did. Same history, credit, and reference checks and it has nothing to do with kids. So, please don't assume I am not doing my job correctly or I was discriminating. Yes you did wait for your deposit back, but in all honesty, I could have held you to the lease and terms.
