Ben had hired us to sell his home in Decherd TN back in 2012 or so. The market was slow, they had to relocate causing the home to be vacant and we had a party approach us about leasing the home until their credit was worthy of a mortgage. We presented the offer to Ben and his family and they wanted to proceed. As he states, the potential buyer is the one that trashed the house and never completed the purchase. It was unfortunate, but not any of our fault. We are sorry Ben is choosing to still let those bad people haunt his life. That was 9 years ago. It was basically his only choice as he was going to lose the house to foreclosure if it didn't sell soon - so lease to purchase was a last-resort but it was Ben's decision to give it a go. We don't make decisions for our clients - only present options brought by the market and advise how various outcomes might impact a decision. We wish Ben and his family well.
