    This applicant reserved a specific unit. Her friend toured a different unit by mistake. When this applicant came to sign papers a few weeks later, she didn't want the unit she had reserved. Unfortunately, by that time the other unit had been rented to someone else. The unit she reserved did in fact measure to be 1,300 sq ft of living space. It cost our company a significant amount of money to take that unit off the market and hold it for her; therefore, we were unable to refund her holding deposit. The applicant should have been more careful about which unit she reserved, or perhaps should have toured the unit herself in person rather than relying on a friend to tour the unit.
