As a commissioned salesperson I don't get paid unless I make a sale, but I am not going to push anyone to buy just to make a commission. My job is to help people buy and sell real estate, not make them. And there is no way that I or any other agent could see every house that comes on the market prior to showing it to a client. I hope this buyer found the right agent and right house, that is what is most important.
