This is a recently renovated spacious (900 square feet) downstairs apartment in my home, nestled up in the trees, on a very private street. We are equal walking distance to downtown San Anselmo and Fairfax. It's a friendly and ultrasafe neighborhood with some of the best hiking trails in Marin just outside the door. There is a full kitchen, dining area, unique sleeping area for guests or for reading, separate shower/WC, one large living/sleeping space, and one large bonus room to be used for storage, not for sleeping or guests. Large amounts of other storage. Lots of natural light. High celings. Quiet peaceful neighborhood with trees everywhere. We recently built a lovely bamboo deck just outside the front door. There is a separate all-inclusive utility fee of $200. This includes everything, even fiber optic internet (very fast). The space Once you've parked your car on the street, you walk down a set of stairs, walk along a short woodsy path on pavers to the private entrance of the downstairs unit. The apartment has a full kitchen, and can be partially furnished, or unfurnished, depending on your needs. There is a separate WC and shower down the hallway. A couple of steps down take you into the large main living/sleeping room with a view of the hillside and trees. There is a closet in the bedroom as well as a hallway closet at the end of the hallway, near the second storage room. Crawl space has ample storage as well. A private laundry room sits next to the apartment. The main large room has lots of natural light and high ceilings, with a Dutch door leading out to a private garden. I maintain it but you're welcome to make changes if you love gardening. Very sorry but absolutely no pets (please don't ask). I have a small dog who's territorial about other dogs and cats but otherwise very sweet. Parking is street parking and very, very limited. Tenant should have one car only. Best suited for a single person. If you are not comfortable occasionally searching for a nearby parking spot, this is not the place for you. Also best if you work outside the home, though I'm flexible. Because it's an older house (built in 1952), there are some sound issues between the upstairs (me and my 16-year-old daughter) and downstairs (you). It's nothing major but if you are sensitive to sound this is not the place for you. Please tell me a little about yourself. It's a unique situation in that I live above. In some ways you can think of it as a house share, but totally private. I have an office nearby (Breakaway Matcha) so I'm typically gone during the day. I'm friendly and caring and yet mindful of privacy. I take care of issues quickly and with a smile. Come check it out! There is a $200/mo utility fee. It includes everything: gas, electricity, water, garbage, and fast (fiber optic) internet connection. Total due on the first of the month is $2600.
