LOCATION: Located in LeFlore County, Southeast Oklahoma in the Kiamichi River Valley just over 6 miles east of Big Cedar. The infamous resort Hochatown is south. This property lies on the south slopes of the Winding Stair Mountains and north of the Kiamichi Mountains. Less than 4 hours From DFW, 2 hours from Tulsa, and less than an hour drive from Ft. Smith, Ark.. Ouachita National Forest and the Kiamichi Wilderness are on all 4 sides. There are numerous lakes in the area including Broken Bow just south, Wister, Cedar, Kerr, Eufaula and Tenkiller. The Cedar Lake and Blackfork equine riding trails are only miles to the west and north. SITE: 160 acres of beautiful mountain terrain, with peaks offering a panoramic 360-degree view. A mature forest with a mixture of hardwood and pine, valleys, draws, rock outcrops, it has them all. Peaks at just under 1700 feet, down to under 1200 feet at the bottom along the headwater draw of the Kiamichi River. ACCESS: Surrounded by National Forest. A forest service road approximates the NW by a little over 600’ and SE corner just slightly more. Parking exists at these points. For an actual road access to the property, would have to contact and get approval with the Forest Service. UTILITIES: off grid USAGE: Recreation, hunting, cabin sites. WILDLIFE: Excellent area for whitetail deer, eastern wild turkey, black bear, wild hog and various small game. Great fishing a short driving distance. WATER: Wet weather drainages on the property. Little Pigeon creek heads along the east side, the Kiamichi River heads to the north and goes along just west of the west boundary. This is a unique feature and a rare find. MINERALS: none
