The suite is attached to the main house but has 3 private entrances, a private deck, private lawn area, direct forest access and feels like it's own entity. All rooms have beautiful views out the windows. Conveniently located, the West Wing is remote-feeling, yet just 12 minutes from the town of Port Townsend, and about the same to Chimacum going the other direction. Our location - at the end of the road, on a 5 acre parcel and surrounded by larger forested parcels, offers serenity, spatiousness, privacy, in a cozy & natural setting. Suitable for 1-2 people - the bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, dresser and closet. There is also an office with an executive style desk and twin bed (doubles as a couch), that could serve as a guest bedroom or hobby room or meditation room. (Does not have a closet so is not technically a bedroom). Updated with brand new wood floors and fresh paint. Kitchen / DR combined is well appointed with large delux sink, beautiful tile countertop, small oven/stove top (4 burners, electric), dining table & chairs, ample cabinetry and bank of skylights. Also, is equipped with top-of-the-line reverse osmosis water purifier. Living room is a pleasant hang out space, with sofa, coffee table & low bookshelvses. Other features: Infrared heaters and thermostats in each room, are quiet, efficient and effective. Entry way closet is ample (not shown - pix coming soon). Wood burning stove is available and works! Laundry room is shared and attached. You get the benefit of an on-site grounds keeper most of the year, keeping gardens and surrounds pristine, maintaining trails, managing the forest for maximum beneficial human interaction. Renter pays utilities which range from $50-$200 per mo, depending on time of year and usage. Use of wood burning stove, and conservation in general, is encouraged. Century Link is included, but is slow. Faster internet with Starlink is available for $50 per month. Garbage service is included. Putting garbage out for pick up on garbage days, separating recycling from trash etc. is to be observed. Other people on the land are respectful, friendly and community oriented, with occasional potlucks, shared projects and conversations as mutually desired.
