Waitsfield and Waterbury are 15-20 minutes away, with plenty of food shopping, gift shops, bars, and restaurants. Lawson's has a gorgeous taproom with great apres-ski menus. Forest and farmland line the roads from the highway. The road to this home is lined with forest, since most of the houses are set back and surrounded by trees. The apartment is on the lower level with a private entrance in the back of the building, giving it the feel of camping in a house--especially with the wall of windows in the living room! Lots of natural light to enjoy the sight of snow falling on the trees out back. Or step out onto the stone patio with chairs and side table to enjoy the Solo stove on a milder evening. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, with a full-sized refrigerator, oven, plenty of cabinets stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils: wine and beer glasses, drip coffee pot and Keurig, tea kettle, mugs, pots and pans, corkscrew, can opener, ice cream scoop. Basic cleaning supplies like broom, sponges, dish towels and detergent. Decor is 70s ski house meets old Vermont. Relax with your favorite shows on a 43 inch UHD SmartTV with Sony soundbar (bluetooth enabled for your music). The TV is connected to a roof top antenna for broadcast channels, or connect your streaming subscriptions with the house wifi. Tesla Powerwall 3 electric backup keep everything going with gentle use when the power goes out. The bedroom has a walk in closet with plenty of hangers and room for your luggage. I hear that people get by with regular snows and front wheel drive. All season tires do not cut it, even with AWD. Why get stranded on a powder day? Trash removal is not included.
