This is an absolutely gorgeous piece of paradise! The views of the sunset each evening are spectacular over the salt marsh. The direct view of the bald eagle's aerie is a birder's delight. Many kinds of wading birds occupy Cedar Key and like to feed in the marsh here several times a day. You may even be able to kayak when the tide comes in! This is a very quiet, private road & just a short golf cart ride away from downtown & Dock Street. Cedar Key is a quiet island community nestled among many tiny keys on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The island is located 50 miles southwest of Gainesville, Florida. It sits three miles out into the Gulf of Mexico. Highway 24 is the only road to access the island. The population is approximately 800 full time residents.
