Welcome to Beasley Bayou Fish Farm in Isola, Mississippi. This 376-acre working farm consists of 24 circulating ponds with graveled leveed roads along with a big shop building, a huge metal pole barn for equipment storage, and two mobile homes. The rest of the ponds are conventional 6-AC fish ponds. There are four 60 HP wells that run underground and feed into every pond. There's also one 15 HP well. The property is right in the middle of the Mississippi Flyway and surrounded by fertile farm ground, other area fish ponds, and a CRP tract on the southwestern boundary. Neighboring landowners flood fields in winter for duck hunting to take advantage of the prime location, too. There are several opportunities with this property. Of course, it could continue as a fish farm for years to come (equipment not included), but there are other options to consider. The ponds could also be used for crawfish production since they've got the capability for controlled water and easy draining. The level-bottom pools are easy to empty with ditches surrounding them and drains on every single pond. Their slow grade makes it easy to drain specific ones or all of them. You won't find richer dirt than what's beneath these ponds with the years of fish farming. Leveling the land and putting it into farm ground would produce a big source of income while offering incredible duck hunting, too. You could also keep some of them to plant in trees or leave as ponds.
