    50 Acre Recreation/ Hunting property in Randolph County, Missouri. This property has been developed for hunting and recreation. It is approximately ½ open and ½ wooded. Has hill ground and bottom ground. The hill ground has approx. 5 acres of MDC directed habitat including an area of newly seeded Little Bluestem, Side oats Gramma & Virginia Wild Rye another area of newly seeded Virginia wild rye and yet another area of Kopu II clover all in the areas surrounding a nice deep ½ acre stocked pond. There are 2 open fields on the hill totaling 6-7 acres that have been in Alfalfa but will be in soybeans this year and planned to be followed by wheat and back to alfalfa next fall. 2 older metal roof barns along with multiple great choices of building sites and another small pond. Rural water is at the edge of the property and available. Howard Electric power on the property but not currently active. There are approx. 12 acres in the bottom that are enrolled in the CRP wetland program until 2026 I think. That area consists of a newly constructed 2 acre duck lake with all the rest seeded in Switchgrass, Virginia Wild rye and Alsike Clover and areas of edge feathering. There is also a naturally formed brushy slew/duck pond adjacent to the new duck lake. We are really seeing the benefits of our habitat development via increased numbers of deer, turkey and the return of Quail. We saw two nice coveys of quail last fall and hadn’t seen any for many years. The majority of the south property line follows Sweet Springs Creek and the NW corner is only about 100 yards from the intersection of Sweet Springs and East Fork of The Chariton River. The entire property is very private and secluded and literally “at the end of the road”. Hwy 24 west from Huntsville to Hwy 3 south to 1st gravel road to the right that is County Road 2030 and when you reach the end of the road the property is on the left.
