Located just two blocks from the ocean in beloved Carmel-by-the-Sea, this cozy guest cottage is now available for a new long-term resident. Life really is better at the beach! The slower pace, the sea breeze, walks on the beach - this charming cottage is just what the doctor ordered. A full time resident would be welcome, or the space would also be perfect as a weekend getaway if you have another full-time residence. The furniture shown in the photos is optional - some or all of it can be left in the space or it can all be removed. Talk with us about your needs and your desired move-in date. Currently there are comfortable sofas, a queen size bed and a small table with seating for two. Tucked discreetly behind the main house you will find this small detached guest cottage, perfect for one or two. The main house is occupied part time by the resident Homeowner. There is a nice outdoor space with seating beside the cottage and this part of the yard would be shared with the Homeowner. The yard has privacy fencing. Living Space The cozy living room has plush carpet, painted board-and-batten walls and exposed beams. Kitchen The efficient kitchen has an under-counter refrigerator, a smaller-scale four burner gas oven with stove, a built-in microwave, and a mixture of open-shelving and enclosed cabinetry for storage. Please note that the kitchen does not have a dishwasher. The kitchen is currently equipped with some basic dishes and cookware which can stay or be removed. Bedroom and Bathroom Just off the living room is a separate sleeping nook that can easily fit a queen size bed. Please note that there is not a door between the living room and bedroom. A door leading outside to the side yard allows the fresh sea breeze to flow in and through the cottage. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom and it has a shower-over-tub combination. Street parking only on a first come, first served basis. A stacking washer and dryer were just added to this cottage in preparation for a new full-time resident. Well-behaved pets are possible with pre-approval, an additional pet deposit and a signed pet addendum. The back yard is fenced but it is also a shared space between the main house and the guest house. The resident of the main house has a dog. Available for $2800.00 per month (plus applicable deposits), including all utilities and landscape maintenance. Lease period of at least 6 months desired.
