Everything was permitted and approved by the city of Oakland. The house is half a block south of 98th Ave and a little under 1/2 mile east of 880. You can be at the curb at Oakland airport in 6 or 7 minutes, on 880 in less than 2 minutes, to Coliseum Bart in 6 or 7 minutes... The neighborhood is what you expect in East Oakland---working class and a little gritty, but not nearly the terrible place that some narrow-minded people make it out to be. I've lived here since 2000 and have never had any problems whatsoever. It is also a rapidly improving neighborhood with many new families moving in in the last few years and substantially improving their property. There is also a new subdivision being built by a major developer going in at San Leandro Street and 98th Ave.--about 6 blocks east of this house. My number is 510-333-4909
