We have lived here for over 20 years. We moved to Colorado right after my
Husband graduated from college. We came on a house-hunting trip and bought this, our first house, in a weekend. Talk about scary. We liked it because it had more mature trees than other areas which was more what we were used to. From the start, our closest neighbors made us feel right at home. Over the years, some people have come and gone. Fortunately, the new arrivals are good folks. I could leave my kids, my dogs, the keys to the house with my neighbors and know all would be well when I returned. If you asked for a favor, you would probably get it. Sometimes, the snow shovel fairy secretly removes snow from other peopleâ??s walks. People watch out for each other, take deliveries, pick up the mail, and, in general, just make it a nice place to live. You feel safe letting kids playing the street. The neighborhood streets are a great place to take a walk or ride a bike. Itâ??s not a place known as the location for something dramatic or historic. Itâ??s really just a good neighborhood in an older area (not the current hot real estate addresses with McMansions) whose most outstanding feature is itâ??s just a place with down-to-earth, hard-working people who take care of their families and their homes and pay their taxes and just hope for good health and a lucky break every now and then.
