Rent is also prorated based on when you move in. A little bit about the room: You would be the first to occupy this brand-new room on the third level of our home. It is equipped with a gently used queen bed mattress with a mattress protector and sits on an 18" high metal bed frame, allowing for storage under the bed. All you will need is bedding and linens. The room comes with nightstands, a lounge chair, office desk with office chair, a ceiling fan, lamps, floor to ceiling curtains, and a 45" flat screen smart TV. In the shared bath, there are drawers under the sink, a rack in the shower, and a large towel rack above the toilet for additional storage. A little bit about the neighborhood and house: The home is in Sterling Ranch (Prospect Village), a new construction neighborhood in the vicinity of Chatfield State Park, Waterton Canyon, Sharptail Ridge Open Space, and Roxborough Park. There are miles of walking paths, sidewalks, and bike paths. The neighborhood has a Clubhouse containing a gym and pool as well as a community center that is home to a brewery, coffee shop, food trucks, and community events like comedy nights and live music. Upon moving in, you would receive a pass to the Clubhouse for full use of the gym and pool. Less than one mile from the house is a shopping plaza with a grocery store and various restaurants and retailers. The house is in a cul-de-sac and has ample parking for all tenants. There is the option of street parking or parking in the designated spaces across the cul-de-sac. Nothing is assigned and no parking passes are required. The home features a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room stocked with cooking and cleaning supplies. We clean the common areas daily, so we only ask the people living with us to clean up after themselves and put things back where they found them. There is a powder room on the second level and a shared bath on the third level. The third level bathroom is mainly for use by the two occupants renting the upstairs bedrooms. There is a front porch, a deck off the kitchen, and a rooftop deck which are all furnished. We offer high speed internet (1000 mbps), mountain bike hooks in garage, ski and snowboard racks in the foyer, and a dedicated bin in the garage for each room if you choose to use it. This is a safe neighborhood, but we have Ring door cameras for extra peace of mind; one at the front door and one in the garage. Each bedroom door has a deadbolt lock you can lock when you leave for added security. Upon move in, you would receive the key to your bedroom door, a copy of the house keys, garage codes, and a mailbox key. The house is also equipped with smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Renters' insurance is recommended but not required. We keep the HVAC on year-round with the fan running continuously. 65 cooling in the summer and 72 heating in the winter. A little bit about us and what we are looking for: Whitney (26) and I (32) moved to Colorado from Michigan and Georgia mainly for the outdoors, so we try to get up in the high-country as much as possible. We enjoy hiking, biking, camping, skiing, backpacking, white water rafting, fishing pretty much anything that gets us outdoors. We share our home with Timber, our four-year-old flat coat retriever. He is an incredibly loving and playful companion who may be a little shy at first but is the best of friends when he warms up. We both work from home, so are looking for a housemate who isn't a huge night owl, works night shifts, or into frequent partying. We try to keep things laid-back and easygoing, so we'd love someone who shares that approach. Independence is important to us too since we're out of town most weekends and travel throughout the year. We'd enjoy occasional conversation and shared meals, but there's no pressure for it. Lastly, respectfulness is key for us. We keep our home inviting and clean and hope to find a housemate who values that; someone who can contribute to a positive and respectful living space.
