Welcome to my home! I am renting out the front bedroom in my recently renovated, fully furnished home. Since this is my second home, and I am usually traveling, you may end up having the entire place to yourself most of the time. When I am in town, I spend lots of time visiting family and my best friend, but I will still be around working on projects/improvements/maintenance, or my remote work. This clean and tidy home is the perfect place to come home to and relax after a long day. It is a short walk from downtown Bennington, and a short drive to shopping or work. (Southwestern Vermont Medical Center is 2.2 miles away, the Vermont Veterans Home is 1.5 miles away, and shopping and restaurants are all within 5 miles) The front bedroom is approx 110 sf (10x11). It offers plenty of storage and flexible bed arrangement options - The bed can be configured as either a twin or a king, depending upon your preference. The large roomy dresser has plenty of deep drawers, the closet accommodates a decent amount of clothing, and there is a lot of room under the bed to store things as well (I have several large lidded bins for you to use). The bathroom has a walk-in shower (no tub). There is a stackable washer/dryer, so no going down basement stairs to do your laundry. The kitchen is small, but has everything needed to cook.. The rent includes all utilities (Electric, Internet, Heat, A/C, and water), linens and towels. Minimum lease is 3 months, month-to-month after that. All applicants must fill out an application and pass credit and background checks. You may use the backyard, and I have a designated area for gardening for anyone who chooses to do that. I love sitting out back and listening to the gurgling stream and the birds while I soak in some sunshine! Sorry, you will not have access to the garage (my workshop) to store anything. As far as me, I semi-retired, a Navy Veteran, and I like to keep my home neat and clean (shoes off inside, no smoking!). I do not drink, and have a zero tolerance policy as far as drug use. This is a room for rent, and all utilities are included, however there is a cap on heat usage (not to exceed 150/mo average). I do not pay for any streaming services (just internet). There is no smoking allowed, no overnight guests.
