This is a very unique hunting lodge on 12 acres of hunting property. New Timber-framed construction! Began building handcrafted replica 1690's western Massachusetts Classic Hall and Parlor farmer's house in 1996. Received Cert of Occupancy Spring of 2000. Built with various local species of Oak's, Maples, Aspen's and Black Walnut. This story and a half house has custom back to back natural fireplaces in both hall and parlor rooms. Each fireplace has Rumsford fire backs and can burn 4' logs. On the south there is a "Summer Kitchen" for both Summer and Winter enjoyment with removable glass panels all around. The Summer Kitchen is heated with a wood burning cook stove. The house is heated with a forced air furnace or Wood Stock Soapstone wood stoves. The kitchen is equipt with a propane appliances: a Danby refrigerator and a propane cook stove. The hall of the house also has a classic styled wood fired brick oven too. This is an open floor plan, the only "room" in the house is an 80 sq ft bathroom equipt with an antique 60" claw foot bathtub with shower. Water is supplied by a 2009 jet pump and heated with a propane demand-flo water heater. There are 17 wood clad Marvin windows throughout! For safety, equipt is a water hydrant in the kitchen and 4 - 20lb extinguishers. For Summer enjoyment an 18,000 BTU air conditioning unit that is easy to maintain.
