An original John Porter Clark (1940) architectural home nestled in the foothills overlooking the city, this retreat is located in the exclusive and secluded 'Little Tuscany Estates' neighborhood. Built for John and Fannie Hamrick, this historic masterpiece will transport you to the glamorous golden era of Palm Springs yesteryear. Make your way outside through the living area and you will be greeted by a sparkling private pool and sweeping views of the mountains beyond. Don't worry about mealtimes, as a gas grill awaits for a cookout in the sunshine and a fully equipped kitchen awaits inside to whip up any recipe with ease. When it is time to head inside for the night, the wet bar will be ready for guests to make favorite cocktails and the spacious great room features a large sectional couch, vintage art, a 47' HDTV, and a large wood-burning fireplace to complete this inviting space. WHAT'S NEARBY: There will be no delay in making the best vacation memories here, as you will be a two-mile drive into downtown Palm Springs for shopping and a bite to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants such as Workshop Kitchen, Cheeky's, Farm, Rooster and the Pig (takeout only). Take your pick of local boutiques, art galleries, and casinos that line the famous Palm Canyon Drive. Not to mention, taking a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will be a breeze, as this getaway is at the base of the mountain. For a bit of hiking, there are multiple trails surrounding the town and Mount San Jacinto State Park is also close by. INTERIOR DETAILS: This home accommodates up to 8 guests with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Additional spaces include a fully stocked kitchen, living room, dining room, den, laundry area, and garage. Our kitchen is stocked with an extensive list of small appliances, cookware, dinnerware and utensils needed to prepare almost any family meal. We provide a starter kit of seasonings including salt, pepper and olive oil. Please inquire with our team if you would like a complete list of all our cookware and small appliances. We provide a starter kit of consumables for your stay which includes: paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, hand soap, coffee, tea, sugar, laundry pods, dryer sheets, toilet paper, make up remover, shampoo, conditioner, body gel and a welcome gift basket. This list is only intended as a starter kit; If you run out of consumables then you must be purchase additional items yourself. We also provide body towels and pool towels for the occupancy of the home, plus a set of hand towels and wash towels. BEDROOMS: *each bedroom has it's own bathroom - Bedroom #1: King bed, ensuite bath, nightstands, table lamps - Bedroom #2: King bed, ensuite bath, nightstands, nightstands, table lamp, closet - Bedroom #3: Two twin beds, nightstand, table lamp - Bedroom #4: Two twin beds, nightstand, table lamp 1. The current rent is based on a monthly summer rate. Pricing may vary depending on your requested dates and length of stay. Please contact our team for exact rates. 2. No parties or loud gatherings are allowed. 3. As per the City of Palm Springs Policy for vacation rentals, outdoor noise amplification or loud music is PROHIBITED at all times of the day. Additionally, Quiet Hours are between 9PM - 8AM Sunday-Thursday and 10pm-8am Friday and Saturday. 4. Spa heating and pool heating are extra services: $25/day for spa heating and $100/day for pool heating which the pool will be heated to 85 degrees. The pool and spa cannot be heated simultaneously, as the heater can only heat one at a time. If you would like to purchase pool and spa heating we will heat the pool before you check in so that it will stay warm even when spa heating is in use. If you'd like the pool heated, please let us know in advance as it takes 10 hours or more to reach the set temperature. A minimum of 3 consecutive days is required for pool heating, OR, for the entire duration of your stay if it's less than 3 days. 5. Early check in at 1PM ($150) and late check out at 2PM ($150) is available for an extra fee ONLY if there are no back to back bookings to allow for proper cleaning. 6. Minimum 25 years of age to book. 7. No more than 4 vehicles allowed on the property. 8. No pets are allowed under any circumstances. A fine of $500 will be imposed for any presence or evidence of pets on the premises. 9. No smoking inside the home. Evidence of smoking inside the home will result in a minimum fine of $500. 10. Any missing or damaged linen, towels or small appliances will be deducted from the security deposit pre-authorized hold that is placed on the credit card on file.
