    What's special

    This is a down stairs apartment in a more than 100 year old home. It sits on Montreat Road, in Black Mountain, about 1 mile (walking distance) from downtown, and 15 miles from Asheville. It sits next another duplex, which we also own, and shares a circular driveway. It has one nice size bedroom, off the bathroom, and two smaller bedrooms, that will accommodate a twin size bed each. The eat in kitchen, and bathroom, have tiled floors, and the living area has, wood look, laminated floors. The bedrooms are carpeted. Each bedroom has its own closet, plus there is a closet under the stairs which lead up to the apartment above. There is a lot of natural light in the kitchen and bedrooms. There are two designated parking spaces, and some space for additional guests. A washer and dryer are located inside the apartment. It is heated and cooled by a heat pump. You can expect the water bill to run between $25, and $35 for one person, and up to $45 for two. The last renter says that her electric bill was $40 to $55 in the fall and spring, and would peak at $150 to $170 in the worst winter month. Your personal practices, turning it down when you are not there, or living with a lower temperature, can make your bills lower. The lease is initially for one year, but then goes month to month, under the same conditions. Tennant may then leave with a 30 day notice, after the first full year. Tennant pays for all utilities (Electric, and water), and also helps to keep the grounds. A lawnmower and gas are provided by the landlord. Smoking is not allowed either inside or outside the house, by Tennant, or guests. Prefer that perspective Tennant make application before requesting a viewing. We are looking for a credit score around 680, or higher, and to be able to show monthly income around 3 times the monthly rent.
