We're looking for responsible, trustworthy people to rent our 2,300+ sq-foot home from Aug. 10, 2020 (small chance it will be available sooner) to May 31, 2021 (10-month lease). There is a possibility it will be available longer, but cannot guarantee. Our plan is to eventually sell.
It's a very private, 2-story, unfurnished 1950's brick house with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths on a dead end street. The large Master bedroom is upstairs, and two bedrooms on main floor. Large, open-concept living room and dining area, fireplace, and plenty of windows. One bathroom with shower upstairs, one bathroom with free-standing tub (with shower wand) downstairs, and a half-bath in the laundry room. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a new dishwasher, granite countertops, and plenty of cabinet space.
The large sunroom serves as a nice flex space for a home office, reading room, etc. and leads out to a huge screened-in porch, which looks out to the backyard and is quiet and peaceful!
Other areas include a room that also leads out to the porch with custom-built wood bookshelves, tons of closet space throughout the house (including a huge walk-in closet in Master bedroom). An unfinished basement provides more storage than you can imagine. There is an attached 2-car garage, and an unfinished brick garden house (strictly uninhabitable).
There is a wood-burning fireplace with insert. There is also central heat and air-conditioning via heat pump (electric), with auxiliary oil heat back-up for really cold temperatures.
The house sits on 1 acre of lush, mature landscaping with large trees and a variety of vegetation. Tenants are responsible for yard upkeep. The house is about 3 miles north of downtown Asheville.
Rent is $2,400 per month with $2,500 security deposit. Total due will be $4,900 at lease signing - no exceptions or payment plans available. Tenant reponsible for all utilities (electricity, gas, cable, internet, oil, garbage, water, etc.). One (1) small dog under 20 pounds considered (must meet first). A $200 nonrefundable pet fee applies. Sorry, but no cats or smoking in or around the house, we are highly allergic to both.
**All applicants must be willing to submit to a comprehensive background check which will identify any criminal offenses, eviction history, and bankruptcies/credit check at applicant's expense through Zillow ($29).
**Applicants must be able to prove monthly income and/or ability to pay rent via W9 or 1099, etc. Three (3) rental references from landlord/property management company (excluding friends or relatives), or proof of timely mortgage payments required. Renter's Insurance is recommended ($8-$10/month).
You will also need to allow property inspections from time to time.
