9 Orange St, Nantucket, MA 02554

Research indicates that this house was built prior to the Declaration of Independence (circa 1774). It is steeped in Nantucket history and has been in the current family's ownership for over 100 years. The house has many antique elements including a central chimney and a front fan staircase. Although not usable today there were multiple fireplaces on each floor and one in the attic. The two staircases lead to original detail on every floor. The next steward of this house will appreciate the fact that is set back from the road but still has incredible proximity to Main Street.
