The entryway is hardwood floor, the second and third landings are rug, two of the bedrooms are hardwood floor, the kitchen and bathroom are tile. One of the great features of this unit is that it has been de-leaded which is nice especially if you have children. We are able to provide the certificate upon request. This is a quiet neighborhood; neighbors have always been so nice and respectful. Great schools in the area. Melrose is one of the most sought after destinations for many people mainly due to its location. This property is convenient to 93, 95 and Route 1. Also within walking distance to the bus route and commuter rail and just a short drive or Uber to the subway (Oak Grove). There is direct access to the basement which has ample storage for whatever you need to keep downstairs. The basement has been dry and with zero moisture for as long as we have owned the house (knock on wood). There are two sets of laundry hookups in the basement, one set is for this rental unit. We plan on providing a washer and dryer unless you prefer your own. The basement has electricity and is temperature controlled. There is an exercise/home gym unit and treadmill in the back corner of the basement which we plan on leaving so anyone may use it to work out. They do not take up a lot of space. The focal point of the unit is the living room space which is an open space concept and connects the kitchen with the four-season porch. The porch does have double doors which open and close. This will come in handy during the colder months. There are three bedrooms in this unit and one full bathroom. The master bedroom is segregated on the third floor of this home but the second floor of the unit. It is very spacious and has a walk in closet off of it. Also, off of the master bedroom is another space which has been used for an office, nursery, or even additional storage or an additional closet for clothes. The other two bedrooms are both hardwood floors and both have spacious closets. These two bedrooms are located on the main level and are both off of the main landing. The kitchen is an eat in kitchen and there is also a built- in pantry which you may use for storage of food or whatever else you need. There's also a second built-in closet in the unit which may be used for anything you desire; paper goods, towels, etc. There is a second entry/exit to this unit off of the kitchen which leads out to the backyard. The driveway holds 6 cars. Our current tenants in unit 1 (great people, quiet and respectful) only have two cars so you could use the larger side of the driveway which holds 4 cars if need be. The backyard is completely fenced in and has a nice patio for summer BBQs. We also have a smaller patio off the main patio with a fire pit (We plan on leaving the fire pit for anyone to enjoy). Trash and recycling is located under newly renovated deck so it is out of site. New tankless heating systems were installed in 2017 which are very efficient and assist with lower gas consumption, especially in the winter months. You may access the basement from the backyard or from inside the home. Upon request, I can get you in the unit to see it in person, but please keep in mind current tenants are in the process of moving. Prior to new tenants moving in, the unit will be patched up, painted and cleaned top to bottom. Owner will pay for water consumption and sewer charges. Tenants responsible for utilities, cable, etc. Trash/recycling removal is provided by the city of Melrose on Thursdays usually by 7AM. I will help with snow removal during the winter months when I am available, however, when I am working or away, tenants are to take care of snow removal. I will take care of yardwork during the warmer months (cut the grass/rake leaves, etc). Tenants may plant flowers or have a garden if they wish to. Current tenants will be completely moved out between the first and second week of March. Unit will be available by April 1st, 2021, possibly sooner. Rent for this unit is $2,700/month.
