Solar was added last year along with a Wall Battery Unit, under the Net Energy Metering 2.0 (NEM 2.0). Solar was fully paid for, so we can have the energy cost covered based on usage. Last year, we installed four Minisplit AC units, one for each bedroom and one in the living room/ Dining Room, which cost $15,000. The Minisplit system cools and heats the home, individually at all four locations or all four at once. We left the gas furnace in the hallway as a backup heater, but we may remove it based on feedback. We replaced the tile in the kitchen and added quartz countertops on the cabinets. The front yard has three large trees for shade and gravel for low maintenance. The backyard has grass and a nice-sized dry storage area in the back with its own gate. This property and the home to the east both share an 8-foot easement, which allows for additional storage. The detached garage had the floor redone with epoxy, and two cars can be parked in it.
