It is nestled in the woods with a large 3 level deck and a total of 15.34 acres of mature woods. From the foyer you see the cedar cathedral ceiling in the living room and an open stairway to the two bedrooms and bath on the second floor. The kitchen was remodeled in 2011 and Kraft maple cabinets and a granite countertop were installed. From the kitchen which opens into a dining area is the patio door to the deck. There is one full bathroom upstairs and one on the main floor. There is also a small room on the main floor meant for a half bath. The back of the house has a seasonal lsunroom overlooking the woods. Mostly hardwood floors thoughout, along with ceramic tile. One bedroom has laminate flooring, one is hardwood and one is carpet. The basement is approximately 2/3rd finished with a large recreation room, an office and a sewing/craft room with shelving. There is a small insulated attic with easy access from the upstairs. The roof was shingled in 2009, new natural gas high efficiency furnace installed in 2014 and an on demand hot water heater in 2015. It has been wired for a generator. This property was a museum at one time and that owner build two tower type structures that are the entrance to the depot and woods beyond. The Port Austin Train Depot was moved to this property several years ago, and is currently a work space and model train room. A two bedroom house was also moved to the property and is used a workshop. There are two other buildings used for storage.
