"Lumberjacks" performed the initial harvesting and transporting of trees to nearby mills. They lived in lumber camps, and usually lived in primative cabins, bunkhouses or tents. The Dicksons, a prominent family who owned a general store in nearby Watersmeet, were also loggers. They built a Logging Cabin on the north side of Camp Lake, which was later used as a hunting cabin.
