The Room:
Large "master" bedroom with it's own large bathroom and walk-in closet.
Main bedroom area is 12'-6" x 16' plenty for bed, dresser, and work area.
Bathroom has small stand alone shower, two sinks, a soaking tub, linen closet, walk-in closet, and skylight. The bedroom is on opposite side of house from the other rooms.
Great natural light in the bedroom and bathroom.
Furniture included: Queen bed, one large dresser, bedside table, and open cabinets. Can provide a desk w/ chair as well. Additional wall mounted shelving can be provided as needed.
Shared Living Areas:
Large vegetarian kitchen, dining room, living room with couch and large TV and wood stove. Backyard with hot tub, fire pit, access to river, and eventual limited access to the amenities of the future wellness space (sauna / cold plunge, etc).
Use of and participation in vegetable gardening available.
Laundry room with great running, new machines.
The other two rooms (the office and guest room) will become the area for myself. While the common bathroom will be open for property guests, I would ask that the renter mostly use their own bathroom to reduce load / need for cleaning on the common bathroom. Would also ask renter to use front entrance to house where a dedicated parking spot will be the idea is to think of the home as two suites with a common area in the middle.
Shared areas are expected to be kept clean, tidy, and picked up after activities and meals.
The property is in constant development for a Native Plant Nursery expansion, and the build-out of a Wellness Space which will include a bath-house, sauna, and common areas. Farm tasks and construction are common on all days of the week. We occasionally host workshops and parties on the property. Ideally, we would find someone who is interested in the activities of the property, having occasional communal dinners, and a property check-in once a month.
I believe in fostering a safe environment, open to all expressions of gender and sexuality. I hope for clear, intentional communication around shared spaces and lifestyle types so that we care live harmoniously.
- Lease Length: 3-6 months and then month to month.
- Vegetarian Kitchen (no meat products to be cooked indoors)
- No pets (We have one large cat who is indoor/outdoor. Comes in at dusk)
- No smoking inside
- One dedicated parking space. You will be responsible for making sure guests park in designated areas.
- No property maintenance requirements other than hot tub usage protocols.
- Voluntary participation in property upkeep would be appreciated but not required.
Housemate details
Daniel, 40 yr old, he/him, owns property and runs a design/build shop on property, which focuses on saunas. Opening up a day-use wellness space on property later this year. I tend to wake up around 8am, start work at 10 every day.
