About the area--This home is across the street from Clam Lake, which you can see, less than a mile upriver from the Dockside Restaurant, a public beach, Butch's Marine & Tackle and Dewitt's Marina on Torch Lake, about a mile downriver from Grass River and Lake Bellaire, and the chain of 75 miles of waterways for easy access to boating and all summertime fun activities. Torch Lake was named as the third most beautiful lake in the WORLD by Nat Geo. Over 350 feet deep, this glacier lake sports Caribbean blue colors and a couple sandbars with nonstop partying. Kid Rock sang about it, and sometimes his boats are spotted. It's an easy trip to Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petosky and Elk Rapids. Bellaire and Alden, within 5 miles, have necessary items like groceries, gas, and banks. Explore the surrounding towns and villages, each with unique amenities including artists galleries, antique shops, world class dining, wineries, breweries, golf resorts like Shanty Creek & much more. All the building proceeding in the area is upscale, and property values are rising swiftly. This area has almost nonexistant crime. Furnishings are optional. Just to clarify--the upper level is 1052 square feet and the basement is another 1052 square feet. Upper has 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen, living room and mudroom, 2 porches and big deck. Basement has a bedroom, laundry room, workshop and giant rec room. It could be partitioned for more room. I removed all the toys so I could lower the price.
