Unique and ultra efficient passive solar home on corner lot in the heart of sunny Prescott! Willow Creek Road's large retaining wall provides extra privacy on the west side of the property (see photos). We have installed a 10x14 metal storage shed on the east side of the property and have added some fill dirt and smoothed out the front yard area as well as the west side of the property in preparation for outdoor gardening/landscaping.
In addition to creating the passive solar effects, the attached greenhouse is also perfect for year round gardening. The solar exposure in front of the home would be ideal for outdoor gardening. The one car garage has been enclosed/partially finished and is heated with natural gas but could be converted back into a garage if needed (this garage space is not included in square footage of the home).
We have been using this home as a family dwelling and have added a few upgrades here and there since these photos were taken (we are using older photos so that you can see the layout of the home free of our personal belongings). The front entrance/concrete patio area is now open to a lovely and shady fully fenced backyard area that is ideal for children and dogs; we have also installed a medium sized doggie door in the front door entrance. A few faucets have been upgraded and ceiling fans have been added to every room. We have removed some of the kitchen cabinets to allow face to face interaction between household members in the kitchen and dining room areas. An under the sink reverse osmosis water filtration system has been added in the kitchen. We have also added bright color to the paint theme of the home. We were planning on staying here much longer but have recently decided to move to Sedona so our children can attend a more holistic school.
