The neighborhood is one mile from I-20. It takes 25 minutes to get to downtown Birmingham. It is relatively flat and very nice to walk or jog in. There are people of all ages. Our neighbors are very friendly and everyone does a great job of maintaining their lawns. Wal-Mart, Lowes, and many restaurants are right around the corner. In the Fall of 2008 Bass Pro Shops is scheduled to open in Leeds. This is going to have a major economic impact. The tax revenue the city will receive has given the city many plans. For example, construction will begin soon for a new high school and middle school which are scheduled to open in the Fall of 2009. Our neighborhood is the most sought after in Leeds. Amazingly it is closed to the public for Halloween because kids from all over want to trick or treat here. We had a blast last year as we had approximately 150 trick-or-treaters. It is a wonderful neighborhood and we've grown attached to it but if you can offer our "make me move price" we'd consider it as my career is dragging me elsewhere.
