I'm looking for 1-2 people to rent my two bedroom, 1.5 bathroom house. I reside in the cottage in the back yard and the kitchen and full bath are shared spaces, the rest of the house is primarily for tenants' use. Both bedrooms are upstairs and have a standard closet and plenty of daylight. Each room also has a window AC unit for warmer days. Rooms are currently occupied but can provide pictures later.
Place would be perfect for one person who doesn't want to live completely alone, but also enjoys the feeling of living alone, if that makes sense. Place is also perfect for two people that want to live together.
Kitchen and dining room/living room is furnished. Bedrooms are not furnished.
There is plenty of on-site storage and the place has living room furniture, dining room table, and the kitchen is fully stocked. There is a large, private and fenced backyard and colorfully landscaped front yard garden with pond/water feature. People who enjoy helping with yard and garden maintenance are a plus!
About me: I'm 45, and a self-employed professional musician/music therapist. I'm politically progressive, love people, very friendly, and also enjoy my alone time and time spent away from the house with friends. I strive to be the coolest landlord ever. I enjoy seeing live music, and have band practice a few times a month (in my soundproofed studio in the cottage). I value straightforward and compassionate communication. I would love to co-create a lovely, communal, cooperative, living situation that feels like home. That being said, tenants will have the house to themselves 70-85% of the time!
House is located in quiet and peaceful Madison South neighborhood, with very close access to I-84, the Max, and Rocky Butte.
There is plenty of on street and off street parking available.
Utilites are split evenly and include gas (heat), water/sewer/garbage, Wifi, and electricity. Utilities are typically around $120-150/month/person.
The place is ideal for people (or a couple) like graduate students, travel nursers or others who might need a mostly furnished, short-term place in the city.
Applicants must demonstrate proof of income/employment and provide 2 rental references. This is a month-to-month term lease. Pets are allowed.
Costs: $1550, utilities are split evenly monthly. Refundable security deposit of $1000 First and last month's rent due when lease agreement is signed.
