Cute, vintage, 1 bed / 1 bath apartment in the Avenues--for lease by owner.
This property has been RESTORED... not just "updated". So it has all of the original architectural details and charm (circa 1905) ... like:
* original hardwood floors
* TALL ceilings
* original claw tub (+ shower)
* original window and door mouldings
* lots of windows (some w/ original art glass)
* original 5-panel solid wood doors w/ original mortise-style door hardware
* cute vintage style bathroom and kitchen w/ subway tile
No carpet. No linoleum. No formica. No vinyl. No pleather. No beige.
This building only has SIX units total.
There is a huge basement area with tons of secure storage for bikes, boards, blades, skis camping gear, snow tires, extra furniture, tools, moving boxes, etc--as well as a big laundry area.
So, essentially you get your own storage space as well as an apartment for the same rent. :)
Newer gas range and fridge.
On-site laundry.
Nice big wrap-around porch in the front of the building that is available for all tenants to use. (Great sunset views from there.)
Plenty of unrestricted on-street parking available.
WiFi and ethernet set up for tenants to share.
Desirable Avenues address is close to the university, hospitals, etc and is very walk-able. Nice city park (and dog park) just two blocks away. I get some grad students, professors, nurses, interns, various young professionals, etc. Not many under-grads typically... but now and again... if they are quiet.
Bus stops right out front for easy commuting.
Recycling available.
Gardening opportunities.
This is a nice, quiet property in a very nice area.
Credit check and background check required.
(Advertised rent is for a 12 month lease, single occupancy, with move-in / start date pretty close to the advertised availability date.)
Can you find a cheaper apartment somewhere in Salt Lake? Sure you can. Can you find a nicer apartment in the Avenues for less? I don't think so. (But if you do--let me know!)
Though I am a pet-friendly landlord in general, I don't typically allow dogs in my upstairs units (including this one). But a cat or two is generally not a problem.
The utilities at this building are master-metered and split up between the tenants--with a typical monthly average of $75 to $80/mo for power, gas, water, trash, and internet.
Reply with any questions--and in your reply, go ahead and tell me a bit about yourself, what you are looking for, when you are looking to start a new lease, any pets you have, who exactly would be living in the apartment, etc.
Move in date is a little flexible... so just let me know what date you are looking for and I'll let you know if it is possible.
